Busy Busy Busy Worker Bee!

It has been so crazy busy I haven't even been able to post or update my website at all! However, Now that I have a moment, I will let you all in on what I have been doing!

Back in April I had the greatest opportunity to be an assistant to the amazing make-up artist Jon Hennessey! I learned so much, I look forward to another chance to work under him.

In May I got another amazing opportunity in the form of Shaw. I was asked to be the make up artist for a couple of talk shows, "Via Mia", & "Shaw Talks". Afterwards, I was asked to assist the lead make up artist for the TV show "Cooking with Fire". A show where firemen cook dishes to be judged, and the winning group gets money to be donated to the organization of their choice.

I also helped out a couple of Fashion Merchandising students at Blanche and was their make up artist for their "Fairy Tale" theme and "Alice in Wonderland" theme looks. I am very much looking forward to those pictures!

I have also been doing graduation make ups like crazy! Hopefully I'll have some reviews posted for everyone soon.

Computer problems

Well! Since my last post I have developed computer problems.... and until just now, I wasn't able to post, save, upload, ect... anything! However, I just deleted a TON of stuff of my computer, and it seems to be running just fine now :) Let's hope it stays this way.

As promised, right after this blog post, I will be posting those new photos for you guys, I hope you like them!

Also, Highschool Graduations are coming up, so all you students looking for a make-up artist, I have some good news for you! I have some awesome group rates for friends getting ready together - and I travel to, where ever you wish me to be.

On a personal note, my partner is making a speedy recovery from his open heart surgery and has been home for a couple weeks now. All is well, except for the fact that he is bored. -- He whined when he had to work, and now he whines because he can't work, go figure. Haha!

Michelle's Been M.I.A.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to apologize for being M.I.A for the past little while. Life threw a curve ball at me and my partner when 2-3 weeks ago they found a heart murmur in his heart that needed to be operated on. He had his surgery this morning, and all went well. He'll probably be in the hospital till the end of this week, then hopefully he will be able to come home.

On the business side of things, I go have photos to post from photoshoots that happened before all of this, and I will get around to posting them :) I promise!

When it comes to accepting jobs, anything I have already committed to is still 100%. However, anything new will be considered, and if I feel I have time, we can go from there. My partner will need a lot of rest, but also a lot of help in the up coming months or so, so we will have to see what I feel I have time for.

Thank-you all very much for understanding! And I promise I will post more photos as soon as I can!

Bridal Fashion Shoot

I mean't to post right after the shoot, however, life happens and blogging was put on the back burner.

Anywhoo, last week I had a super fun Fashion Bridal shoot on Cypress Mountain, with Ann-Marie Fortin, Norm Chiu, and Trasie Beaver!

I was silly, and though I knew I was going to a mountain (with snow), I, for some reason, wore shoes with heals! I can't believe I did that! Don't get me wrong, it was an adventure and I half, but next time, I will for sure bring a pair of uggs or something practical!

Well, I'd love to stay and chat, however, I have a lot of prep work to do for my next photoshoot. They seem to be one after another these days --- which is AWESOME! :)

Prosthetics

In addition to my bridal shoots coming up, I am also working on my rainbow swan prosthetic piece for my exam. It's kind of like the black swan, but, rainbow, so it's a little more ethereal and colourful.

We've just started the sculpting part of our module and as you can see from my picture, this what my piece looks like this far. What do you think?

I have an exact idea of how I want it to look make-up and prosthetic wise, however, the costume baffles me a little bit. I have a while to think about it.

I have a couple of bridal photo shoots coming up for February/March that I am very much looking forward too.

I will be working once again with a wonderful Photographer by the name of, Nytetym (A.K.A. Norm). He was the photographer for my black smokey eye and red lip party girl look (Emily Thompson).
